KRISTIE UPDATE
Sept 21st - Kristie had her eye removed yesterday. All went well, but she is in pain.
She is on pain medication twice a day.
The Vet said that her eye was causing her a lot of pain, so she just needs to heal from this and will feel much better.
The good sign this morning is that she's got a great appetite!

Sept 25 - Kristie is doing much better. she's not in any pain and is out of her crate most
of the day now. She's eating well and interacting with the other dogs and her tail is always waggin when you talk to her.
Update Sept. 8th - Kristie's eye needs to be removed and her
surgery is scheduled for Sept. 20th.
Please donate if you can to help us pay for her surgery. Any amount will help.
August 24th - It's been one week since we took Kristie to the Vet and she's been getting the
new eye ointment. It's working!
Her foster mom wrote and said that the swelling has gone down in her eye and Kristie is feeling better and starting to
play.

Aug. 16 - We have taken a 12 year old 14 lb Boston Terrier,
female into Rescue. Her name is Kristie, she is a neglect case. She has horrible ulcers in her eyes, one eye is healed now,
but she cannot see anything.
The other eye, is very swollen because it is so bad. She's had these for a long, long time. We
tried to get her into Rescue in the Spring, but the people wouldn't give her up, but they also wouldn't take her to the vet.
They would think nothing of going on vacation for 3 weeks at a time and locking her in cellar by herself.
Finally, they surrendered her to us.
We brought her to our Vet today and she prescribed the same medication that Cline was having.
Her eye is bulging so much that she must wear an E Collar so she doesn't keep bumping it when she walks into things. We have
another appt. in 3 weeks with my Vet to see if it's any better, if not, she will just stitch the eyelid together, so the eye
can heal for about a week.
She will not have her sight back though. Her heart is good, her bloodwork came back normal and
her hearing is good.
This little girl is going to need a loving, caring home for the rest of her life.
Thank you for your donation
